Please Pass the Gratitude
What InventoryLab is Grateful For
It’s that time of year again when we take pause from our busy lives to give thanks. To celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday, some of our IL teammates shared what makes them feel grateful at this time of year and all year round.
Elizabeth Harding, Operations Manager
Soooo many things! All the things! I’m thankful to have a warm home, good Keto food in my belly, and the love of family.
On a less serious note… I am thankful for Starbucks, dogs in pajamas, and Spotify’s Songs to Sing in the Shower playlist.
Abigail Piner, Business Analyst
I am so thankful to have friends, family, and an employer that were so very helpful during and after hurricane Florence to help us find our footing again. I don’t know how we’d have made it through. The last couple of months have revolved around finding normalcy in our lives; I could go on and on about how many things I am thankful for relating to this.
I’m thankful to have such amazing children and that I am able to be home to watch them grow and learn, as well as a loving husband who spends his day taking care of them.
I’m thankful that I found a company where I feel valued and can really develop professionally.
I’m thankful for Amazon Prime and for the UPS driver who makes regular stops to us, lol.
And, of course, I am thankful for all kinds of materialistic luxuries that I take for granted every day.
Jesse Couch, Head of Design
I’m thankful for my awesome wife, and the marriage I have with her – strengthened through fire, y’all. Challenges don’t have to knock you down!
I’m thankful for another eventful year as a parent, with all the leaps and bounds that come with it. Each of my kiddos has grown tremendously this year, and I’m particularly proud of my son Keith for his growth.
I’m thankful for being able to meet more members of the IL team in Idaho last month – each of them was exactly as awesome as I imagined they’d be.
I’m thankful for the beautiful place that I live, with its 4 well-defined seasons and incredible scenery and culture.
I’m thankful for being a part of such a fantastic company as I come up on three years with IL. I’ve never had a more fulfilling job or felt more a part of something special than I do with you fine people.
Kim VanDenburgh, Administrative Assistant
I’m thankful for my children’s good health, senses of humor, and kindness, my husband’s constant love, support, and his glorious beard, everyone else in my family and my closest friends who love me just as I am and whom I love dearly in return, and for having such an incredible place to work with amazing people who really do care.
And in no particular order, I’m thankful for public radio, books, iced Americanos from Starbucks, Harry Potter, the Chicago Bears, free speech, Disney World, diversity, tolerance, and acceptance.
Ryan Stephens, CEO
Thankful for how much fun I get to have with my children, how well-behaved my stepchildren are, how deep my connection goes with my wife, and how the presence of our dog seems to make the weight of a hard day a little lighter.
I’m thankful for the opportunity to serve so many small to medium-sized businesses everyday and for the amazing team members that make that possible.
I’m thankful for good health, for food on the table, and for being able to watch Patrick Mahomes on Sunday afternoon.
Krissy Cook, Customer Happiness Manager
I’m very thankful for my family, both my tiny created one and the one I was born with. I’m thankful that my little one is happy and healthy and a real silly billy. I’m thankful that I get to work with people who support each other and make me laugh loudly.
I’m also thankful for puppies, chocolate, audiobooks, the ocean, dreams – both sleeping and planned, people who choose kindness, checking off bucket list items, Christmas lights, and magical experiences.
I’m just thankful to be able to wake up every day and be a part of life through both the good and the bad.
Jon Caliri, Product Manager
I’m thankful for our neighborhood. The people in it have become our closest friends over the years. I’m thankful for the things that bring those people together: holidays, special occasions, board games, food, pool parties, and home-brewed beer.
I am thankful for another year watching my son and daughter grow into conscientious young adults. And I’m trying to make the most of the few years I have with them before they are off on their own.
I am most thankful for the love and support I get from my multi-talented wife. After 20 years together, I can’t imagine life without her.
Vee Cole, Customer Champion
I am thankful for so many things. Mostly for life and all that comes with it. I’m thankful for my family, laughter, friends, lessons learned daily, love, our new home, hugs, and lazy weekend mornings.
Angie Zoellner, Customer Champion
I’m so thankful to spend this holiday season with my husband, who was deployed this time last year. I’m thankful to those who have or are currently serving our country and the sacrifices they and their families have made, big and small.
I’m also thankful for my family, friends who have become family, and my wonderful coworkers. Music, the internet, sweatpants, Pistachio Oreo Thins and Aaron Rodgers are pretty cool, too.
Mary Lukefahr, Customer Champion
I am thankful for my insanely supportive family/friends who encouraged me to cross a lot of things off my bucket list this year.
I am also grateful for InventoryLab and my co-workers who generously rallied around Abigail and myself after dealing with Hurricane Florence and who made a stressful situation better. In addition the opportunities that working for InventoryLab has allowed, like the fact that I get to be home to help my daughter with her homework each afternoon and tuck her into bed each night.
I’m positive there are about thirty more things that will also come to mind the moment I submit this!
